In the middle of Europe, along the borders of Germany, the Czech Republic and Austria on the European watershed, from which as from the "roof" of Europe waters flow down by the River Vltava and Elbe into the North Sea, to the Danube and the Black Sea waters from German (Bavarian Forest) and Austrian parties (Mühlviertel), there is forested mountainous massif Šumava / Bavarian Forest. As one of the largest contiguous forest complexes in Central Europe is also called the green heart of Europe. This area is home to two national parks - on the German side since 1970 National Park Bavarian Forest, on the Czech side since 1991 the largest Czech national park Šumava.
By the road No.27 leading from Železná Ruda to Javorná on the the left side under the two objects of forest administration used to stand the so called new Pamferova huť. The first one used to stand high above the present road near the source of the stream, where you can still see the remains of foundation walls.
New Pamferova huť was opened in 1783. The glass produced here was exported to Naples, Portugal, Frankfurt, Nuremberg, Trient, Constantinople, Warsaw etc. Usually by exporters from Arnultovice, Bor, Kamenický Šenov, Sloup, but also directly.
Glassworks was hit by a fire in December 1889, but it was restored. It was modernized and heated by wood gas, and also by brown coal gas. Glassworks was for his poor condition demolished in 1893. The 15 workers dwelling left were taken by aristocratic woodcutters.
On the left side of the road opposite the point of the former glassworks used to stand in 1945 three houses, one of them was a grocery shop.
